When We Are Closed
You can still contact a doctor outside normal working hours, but this should be for urgent matters and emergencies only.
Call your usual surgery number and you will be put through to NHS 24 who will be able to advise. You may also call directly by dialling 111. If you need to see a doctor and are able to travel by car, you may be asked to attend the Primary Care Emergency Centre at Dunbar Hospital, Thurso.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
