Antenatal

Expecting a baby? Congratulations! We provide a full range of antenatal and postnatal care in partnership with the community midwifery team.

Expecting a baby is a natural process, not a medical condition, so you don't need to wrap yourself up in cotton wool! However, it's important to take care of yourself during your pregnancy so that your baby gets all the nutrients it needs and so that you are in good condition for the birth and beyond.

Child Health Clinics

Children can be seen during routine surgery hours.

Halkirk Clinic Times

Children can be seen during routine surgery hours.

Your doctor will be happy to provide advice on any aspect of child health – simply make a routine surgery appointment.

Many parents’ first port of call is the health visitor, a community nurse who is specially trained in child health. We provide a full child health surveillance service working alongside the local health visitors and school nurses. Routine examinations are carried out at our child health clinic at eight weeks.

Immunisations

Childhood immunisations are performed at the surgery. The schedule can be found here
